For the past year I've spent every extra minute locked in my garage away from my wife. She has gone to bed countless times alone, and at times, has even woke alone. Yeah I'm very guilty of pulling a few all nighters working on willow in my garage. Today was the official end to the build. After taking Willow to Pittsburgh for a show, my wife had this made from scratch cake waiting for me. I know she'll never read this but honey I gotta tell ya thank you for the support. I love you!
So lets hear it for all the wonderful women in our lives. I know there are plenty others out there with wonderful wives or girl friends (or both if yer lucky ;D ) who put up with us grease monkeys.

I'm with you. My wife lived through 20 years of drag racing and so many projects that I can't remember them all. She wanted me to be able to do as much as I could. I'm well aware of how fortunate I am.

Awesome wife of mine told me once that I could/should buy two motorcycles so that our Son and I could ride together. After seeing how much I love resurrecting old bikes she let loose. I now have seven and continue to look for more. She tells me that I'm so smart to be able to fix them and I ALWAYS thank her for being supportive.

Troy, that is badass. And having spent some time with your wife, I will attest to the "awesome" bit.

Thank you and
That'll earn some major points! I'll pass it on for ya ;D

I must say, you guys are very fortunate to have supportive wives. Sounds to me ya'll have long lasting relationships because of this. I have yet to find my luck. Any tips? LOL

Man that is awesome! And supportive wives are truly the best. Mine just pushed me into buying another bike last night, for the reason of "I love seeing you work on restoring these machines and the way you still insist on family first." Not my words, hers. Wives rock, and the only thing I can say for.guys looking for a keeper: don't settle! Good ones are worth the wait!

Man, I was just thinking how thankful I am and I logged on to see this. I love my wife dearly. She is in the process of helping me budget for the new shop we are building at my place, and being an accountant, she is the best at that kind of stuff!

She NEVER complains about me being in the shop too late, or smelling bad, or being crabby because of whatever might be bothering me. Trust me, it takes a lot to put up with me!!!!

She is dragged all over the country to hang out with bike guys, and even lets them crash all over the place during Barber's, and never complains.

Troy, I've met Suz too, you're a lucky fella! Here's to all of the good wives out there who make us look halfway normal to the public eye!

That awesome Troy and Kiley, Mr. E.
I too have a great wife. Just last week I spent countless hours in the shed working on rebuilding my bikes motor, when I saw the time and went in, I thought she may be upset, she had tucked the kids in bed, had a sandwich waiting for me on the table. She would come and check on me while I worked, would make a run to the store to get me beer. I just LOVE my wife. She may not care much for me talking about bikes and engines, but she is understanding about the things I like. There is so much more I could say. I truly don't have the words. But just to get it out there and being able to say how much your wife means to you is a good way to show the rest of the guys on here what it really means to be a man.

So, my wife (who runs our finances) gave me the go ahead to purchase a 1975 CB400F using money from our savings. The only stipulation was that I sell some parts off of it to pay back my savings account. I love the stock 400, and this particular one is in great shape. It would have hurt a little bit to take parts off of this bike.

When I got the bike home, she said that I was in no way to take parts off of that beautiful bike and sell them. The savings would be just fine for the few months it will take me to pay it back.

I am a big fan of my wife.

That just sums it up man. Thanks for saying those words. Hit close to home.

Justin, you have to tell your wife that she has a fan in Alabama now just because she appreciates the baby 4!!!!

Re: Most awesomest wives

I too have a stellar wife. She also puts up with often going to bed and waking up alone and still actually goes out of her way to make time for me to be in the garage.

My goal over the winter is to kind of clean up my garage and make a space that she can come out and hang with me. Even if its just to watch tv and sip a drink.

"Burnin' oil and smellin' royal!"

Wives are great.Any woman who would put up with my sad azz, motorcycling riding, whiskey drinking, smelly, unpredictable self for the past 50 years must be a saint.lol.bj

U guys are so totally right!! 8) Any wife that supports this kinda life deserves all the props we can give! :-*

My lady IS incredible (34 yrs married!), but she really can't figure out why I'd spend so much time with these old projects. I've tried to explain, involve her, etc, etc. No use. She doesn't like to ride as well. :p

She DOES cut me enough slack so I can get my hands dirty once in awhile though, so I'm not about to complain. 8)

Look after your ladies gentlemen!! You'll never regret the time you spend on your relationships! :)

That is fantastic! hahaha i never get a CAKE! but i do have to give some ups to my wife as well... 4 am nightly i crawl into bed, never bitched at for waking her up. she wakes up to parts all over our living room, and spare bedroom all the time, never a complaint. Every weekend we have some type of bike event be that a show or ride... she is cool with it. I am the guy everyone calls when buddies break down and we have had to leave family functions, dinner, movies to go help out... never bitches... every vacation we take is around bikes be that in FL doing the keys, greece rocking a scooter, or riding to missouri to hang out... never bitches... only time she bitches... when she complains about how i have 5 bikes and she has 3!!! hahaha I used to joke and say "thats the kind of girl I'm gonna marry!" and i am glad i did! when she is on the bakc of the bike she knows a quick tap on her thigh means we are about to SLAM on this sucker and rip so she wraps up so she is ready if the tire lifts... hahaha funny man 10 years and still would rather ride with her than anyone!
