i picked this 1984 motoguzzi t5 a few months back and finally got a chance to pull it on the
lift today.. this bike was last registered in newyork in 1990, and the previous owner had done some pretty cool stuff to it for the time.. it has some rad old multi adjustable clipons, conti pipes, paoli linked air forks, koni rears, and factory brimbos all around. i am gonna leave it kind of dirty and do it up for me to drive this summer to work, after the last build http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=31267.msg384432#msg384432
i am am real into something that has some scratches..
did all this today
welcome to the world of Guzzi.
link to pics of mine at bottom.
uk owners club forum is pretty good for help.
good luck and i look foward to seeing how our getting on.
thanks!, this is actually my 3rd guzzi that i have owned and i used to work for a guzzi dealer some years ago.. i will check out the euro owners club for sure
i might have a little fairing around the light, i am gonna change out the crazy rectangular headlight thing for a round light that is a little less 80's looking
yeh mine had one of those bodged on to the front of it. was about the first thing i took off.
i sold it for £35 ( could have got more but just wanted shot) i normaly keep hold of bit a take off bikes to use again somwhere else but i figuresd i'd not ever want that!
took the bike down the street and on the way back my foot slipped of thee pedal, i looked down and the there was oil all over my shoe// one of the oil lines was dried out and sprung a leak. luckily a pretty easy thing to fix, feels great other than spraying hot oil everywhere, tons of torque!!
thanks! this one should be pretty cool, im not gonna go too crazy on it but i think it will come out pretty nice.. the cl175 that i am doing right now and this are fighting for my time
i converted a sealed beam to a little nicer removable set-up and made the dash sit a little lower, also waiting for the seat to come back from the upholstery shop
I have to ask as this is the second time looking at that pic.. is that picture of your nail stuff squirting out or is it a string?? remember crunching my finger one time but never lost the nail
