Hi Gents:
A couple months ago, I started making and selling all aluminum cafe seats. Of course in the process, I managed to screw some up. I was about to trow them out this evening, but figured someone here could use them.
So here's the deal. These are not serialized MotoFiaccone seats. These are scraps pretty much fit for the dumpster. The mistakes range from dipping the tungsten to blowing threw the metal to just plain laying an ugly weld. I rough sanded all of the welds to make them look better, but they are far from perfect. The seats vary from 18ga 3003 aluminum to 16ga aluminum. They will polish out.
1.) As seen in the pic above. Slight asymmetry, which I may or may not fix. The seats needs the bottom sanded/filed smooth. The overall finish is rough sanded. It needs some work.
2.) I blew a nice hole in the seatpan. I went back and filled it, but there is a glob of weld. I'll sand it out, and it will look good. When covered, no one will ever see it. I'd sell this as a proper, full-price seat but I would feel too guilty. IMHO, this is the best of the bunch here.
3.) This is a pretty cool seat. It has a provision in the back for a lucas-style taillight. At least, that's what i think they are called. It's made for the taillight I used on my RD400. The welds are pretty good, but again, the seat isn't perfect. Hence, no full-price sale.
4.) This seat is in pretty shit condition. If you have a nice leather/vinyl cover made for it, no one will ever know. Structurally, it is sound.
OK, the seats are $25/each as is + shipping. No returns. Like I said, they are in pretty awful condition. However, each will polish out. One seat per person; reply with the seat number you want.
--Thanks, Chris
