I couldn't find a better place to put this but I figured most of you would like the story/pics.

Some of you may have heard about this place. I tracked down the owner and went up there. It was a great experience.

Story and pics here http://dcclassiccycles.dynamitedave.com/graveyard.html

Awesome! It's sad that so many bikes were scrapped, although it looked like a lot of them were way beyond restoration. I bet that was awesome the first time you got in there!

Walter Kohl. I bought BSA A10 650 parts off him in the early eighties for a bike I was screwing around with, and in the fifties and sixties my old man bought shit off him.

Well written, interesting story mate. Thanks for the detailed pics. I love seeing stuff like this still being uncovered.

Great story! I live pretty close to that bummer I missed out but looks like you guys were able to score big. Love the living room motorcycle stand!

I'm pretty sure this place is still there and most of the stuff is still there. I live in WNY and a few months ago there was a craigslist ad that wanted to sell one huge lot of parts/bikes for $20,000. I'm pretty sure it was the same guy/lot.

So sad to see so many bikes rusting in a pile like that! Think of all the cools things you could do with the hundreds of tanks that were in there! Sad to see, I wish I knew about it before, I live pretty close to there.
