Mounting fiberglass tank

Haven't visited here in a while, so hello to all.

I just picked up a fiberglass tank for my CB350 cafe project, but the tank comes with two bungs for the petcocks but nothing else. So, can anybody give me some tips on best way to mount the tank? I don't want to drill holes in it if I don't have to as I don't want to contaminate the tank with shavings but will if absolutely necessary.

I was thinking of mimicking the rear and side rubber mounts/bracket that come on standard Honda tanks but is there a way to epoxy this on where it'll stay. If so, what epoxy would work best for this application? I can't really seem to find much on this sort of thing and I'm surprised the tank had nothing on it at all.

Pics? Most aftermarket tanks won't have mounting bits on them, as they're usually not built for any bike in particular.

For my aluminum tank on my XS, there is foam on the frame backbone and I use a traditional stainless strap front to back to hold it down.

Yep, pics would be good. You should be able to fabricate any sort of mounts you want out of more fiberglass. If your tank fits over your bike and can be placed exactly where you want it, you should be able to reproduce the mounts used for the factory tank and add them to the fiberglass tank without disturbing the integrity of the tank. Most tanks use a sort of "U" shaped receiver at the front and a bolt or strap at the back. You can either make these elements from scratch, or cannibalize them from the stock tank and attach them to the new tank. One of the great attributes of fiberglass is how readily you can bond more fiberglass structure to an existing one. If you don't have much experience with fiberglass construction, there is lots of U-Tube and other info all over the web. Be advised that many tanks are intended for gasoline only, and that alcohol will destroy most tanks not specifically intended to be used with gasoline containing alcohol. If you are not sure, lining the tank with a product like POR-15 might be a good idea unless it is already lined of course.

Here's a picture of the underside from the source of the tank itself. I can see where mounts can be added but not sure of the best way to approach it, but both idea here were helpful.
