Mounting tail light under back of seat pan?

Hey guys

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with mounting their tail light on the seat pan itself as opposed to the frame, axles, etc?

I'm sort of hoping to recreate this seat I saw on ebay:

Good idea? Bad idea? Any tips?

Looks ok to me. The only thing to look out for is making sure you have enough clearance between the tire and the mount. If you havent cut your frame it shouldnt be an issue though.

This guy from Vietnam on Ebay makes custom seats with modified seat pans... all kinds of bikes. I want one pretty badly.
