I don't know if you're on any other forums, but I will tell you all you have to do is go about 30-40 miles south and east of Akron for some of the best back roads in the east. One of the top ones always named is down there. SR164 considered one of the more technical rides in the country from what I've read. it runs from SR212 in Leesville about 5 miles southeast of Atwood Lake. I've ridden it a few hundred times from Leesville to Amsterdam and frequently on to Salineville, but not further, so I can't speak for how it is from Salineville on. I can tell you it is a blast to ride with the best part running from Leesville to SR43 in Amsterdam. 43 runs up east of Akron, through Kent. A decent ride to get to a great road.
We lived in the Northfield/Macedonia area for 6 years. These towns are between Akron and Cleveland. It was a motorcycle mecca when we lived there.

klx678...i'm going to check into the sr164.....it's further west than i've been. i jump the border from PA as often as i can to explore your neck of the woods. the furthest i've made it is lake tomahawk and rogers ohio. lots of great roads out there to explore and many gravel roads (which i'm always looking for!) do you have any other suggestions in that area from boardman south to wheeling?
I got to do just a little exploring a few weeks ago when I came up to look for an apartment. I didn't get to go South of Akron but I drove around North in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park area and there was some pretty fun looking roads there. Too bad I was in my car.

Yes sir. Excellent roads and a great place to hike, fish, bbq, etc. The Metroparks system is referred to as the "Emerald Necklace" because it wraps all the way around the greater Cleveland area. You'll have to come up north and ride with us.
Yes sir. Thursday thru Sunday. My friend Phil is the head of the Mods part of the Mods vs Rockers event there.ill be working with him and probably manning our spot in the swap meet. Look for the big POC Scooters truck.
cuyahoga valley is sweet to ride through espesially in the akron area all the way up through to peninsula. then you can get on 303 which is nice hilly windy region with cool scenery. i have lived here my whole life man I would be up for riding sometime if you want. I live in Kent near the college. I currently only have my Magna up and riding so I would have to ride that. The cb350 looks to be at least a month till it is safely ridable and thats if it cooperates mechanically. In any case the magna is no slouch. I will be going to mid ohio as well if you want to hook up for that too
The big move date is the week of August 1st. We plan to get most of the move done the beginning of the week. My dad is bringing his bike too so we will be able to do a bit of riding together before he goes back home. Hopefully that Thursday (August 2nd) we will be able to get in a good day of riding. If anyone would be interested in joining us, that would be great!
for sure man Just let me know. I am not sure my 350 will be ridable by then but i have a more modern edition honda on 2 wheels that is less fashionable but a sure bet. Let me know i would like to cut up some turns.
