Must see CX500. Never mind the dogs bollocks, what about the muts nuts!

Sounds good, I'd like to see a gas analyser on dyno run from them though, if they haven't done it on CX500/CB400/CB750~900
I won't believe the hype.
Leon Moss was the best carb guy in the world and he couldn't 'jet out' the problems for Honda UK or American Honda, had to completely re-work the carbs with all sorts of internal modifications
I've spent years messing with the Kei-Hin 3 jets and so far can only 'fix' old style (CB350twin, CB360, CB450 DOHC)
The 1978 ~85(?) 3 jet are a whole new ball game
AS far as I know, the Australian's are the only ones who spent a LOT of time modifying CX500 motors

It has occurred to me that it would probably be difficult to escape suspicion if one rented a room and then stole the handle. Pardon me while I adjust my panties.

You got it, that's how you could tell it was a joke, pretty difficult to 'steal the lock' on a room your renting, 'they' already have your credit card, etc ;D

Nivagc, check out the Mikuni set from CXman on here, I'll get the links to it but he has Dyno tested modified carb mounts and proper jetted mikuni's for the CX that from what I just read are worth it. 2nd gear wheelies kind of performance.

Sorry about the butt in

the "carbs " are a complete system including new tuned length flow tested intake manifolds i developed

the carbs are prepped then i run tune and balance each set before they are shipped

to allow for quality control and a true bolt on and go experience

the bike was fit with iridium plugs to boost ignition and help burn the sometimes richer mixture

the Dual pipe conversion allows for 1 3/4 pipe all the way back from the original header to allow a much higher

flow rate and far better scavenging

all of these changes and additions culminate in a very awake bike

Well I am signed up now, instead of being down the workshop. Well that red wine (ooopsss :( sorry reminded you of alcohol again sorry, snigger), as I was saying I must be drunk, I just thought I saw a CX500 with upside downies and an exhaust to toast your chestnuts. Well that looks out of this world. Anyway I see you have bid on the camel brackets. Well I better get and do some work and I will leave you and the camels in peace. Meatloaf Mick

Hey CarzyJP and Maritime,
Thanks for the input about the set up of the carbs.
I’ve had a good look around the sites that you suggested and I’m very excited about Murray’s Carbs.
I sent him a e-mail last Friday but he’s not yet got back to me. Very busy or away.
So I’ll keep you posted about that one.

Just found this on my phone! Not got any of it on the bike as of yet.
It’s the seat I’ve had upholstered, I’ll put my hands up to this as the only thing I’ve not done on this bike.
It was done by a guy from Newark UK. His name is Lou and a lovely bloke to deal with.
This is his website http://www.tlcretrimsandupholstery.com/
He does some fantastic stuff.
Thanks Lou.
