Stock Is Boring.
I Wanted to share my Bobber-esqe build with you guys, to share what i have done, and to grab any spare knowledge i can from you guys. I apologize all i use is photobucket for pics, so be nice haha.
Bike: 1980 CB650
The Bike has about 27K on the clock, which is roughly 800miles a year.
The Bike was fairly stock i think.
Why am i calling the bike "GAS"?
It is the First Letters of our last Names, and we have built a few projects together, Our biggest build together was my 1982 Ford Mustang GT, we turned it into a road race car, over 13K invested, it was fun to take around corners, and had no problems eatin a few Vettes on the Hwy, and making the driver flip you off when he finally catches up haha.
Back to the topic at hand, the initial part of this build is just to get it back together so i can ride the rest of the summer, and do a bigger build this winter. I got the bike exactly 2 weeks ago today, and i couldn't live with riding it in its stock Form. sorry to all the purists....
I Started by removing the grab bar, it must have been broken at one point, it was poorly welded back together. Next i removed all the signals, headlight, and fenders. Next came the seat, tank, and Bars. I pulled the rear tire, since it needs to be replaced due to dry rot, the front tire looks great (for now lol).
As it sits in it current state, i am waiting on parts, and painting a few things before i throw it back together. I have a few other pics for my reference, and a few in various states of tear down, i will post a link to my photobcket album, let me know if it works
