I've been lurking for awhile and decided to post up a few pics of my bike finally.

Here she is when I bought her a couple of years ago:

Since then, the work has started and slowly and steadily continued:

And here is a pic from the weekend that just passed. (Tail section is from a red bike so I cheated and did a black & white pic!):

I'm not sure if it's a cafe racer, cafe fighter... either way, I'm enjoying it!

The Zephyr's make some of the coolest street fighters! Look it up if you haven't already :) .

Looking good!

The Zephyr 550 has always been on my top ten list of bikes I need to own. I salute you!

Thanks for the kind words guys! I'll keep posting pics as the project moves forward.

Slice - That's a crazy bike! I honestly think I'd afraid to ride something that nice. On that note, your bike is really, really cool. Saw a few pics of it on here and was just amazed by it! If ever I'm around the T.O. area on my bike, I'll have to come meet up with you guys!

Well... tail section is done now. Not sure what I'm going to tackle next. Probably tidy up under the tail section next.

I don't think I can shorten up the frame much more that it is now!

Sorta took a different direction with the tail. Not sure if it looks like a Cafe Racer, Cafe Fighter...

I'll have to sort out how to give it a more finished look over winter.

Hope no one gets upset but had to check this post out and Just say this was the same year and color (original colors before mod) of my very first street bike. I didn't realize back then how rare it was I just knew a guy would sale it to me (16y/o) for 2K in '97. Worked all summer long and saved every dollar just to hand it over days before school started back up. Now I can't even find a Zephyr much less a 550 in the same state for sale. Looks great thanks for the reminder of my first bike!
