Beneli tank, cb450 front forks, shorter rear shocks, and a custom seat give me the stance that I was looking for.

Man this is really nice. What Cb650 did you have? I have an 81cb650 C. I love the front forks. Did that fit in just fine with the 650 triple tree or did you have to get forks and the tree from the 450? The seat position is by far the most difficult thing I am running into and yours looks nice. I am wanting more of a straight bench so I am planning on building it up with foam where it drops. Not the nicest looking thing but should be somewhat desirable.

Mine is a 80 cb650 custom.

The cb450 forks fit right in the 650 trees. No mods.

Here is the initial inspiration for the build....

I think I got pretty close. Couldnt be happier with the bike.

Here is a video to get a little more detail...

Let me know what you guys think.

I have added cb750 carbs since that video was made.

Still need to figure out some type of muffler as it just isnt running very well with the pods and open headers. Its loud, but I like it.

Tires and maybe new shocks in the back will be next.

Cool I need to see if I can find some forks like that. I assume the original wheel doesn't fit or did you not want the wheel?

This is the inspiration I am kinda using. It has the slanted tank similar to what our 650's have. I cant afford a tank so I have to use what it came with.

Thanks! It was my 1st build and I learned a lot in the process!

I am working on a cl175 for my gf right now. It will be more of a Brat bike though, not really a cafe.

Man that thing is Sweet. Good to see a 650 on here. I am converting my 84 CB650 as well and was wondering where you hid the battery or am I just not seeing it clearly?

It's in the tail....

Thanks!! just checking I am trying to figure out where I am going to hide mine. I decided to go without a tail and pretty much out of options, so I guess I will be building a battery box. keep up the good work. Very nice ride.

Did you have the headers made? 4 in to 2? I am trying to figure the same thing out for my exhaust- was thinking about the mac 4 in to 1.
