well my Z will be good on the track soon, planning on pulling the motor, putting a frame under it, full coilovers, cage, wide fenders, wider tires, and the motor is getting a blower and a new rearend and hopefully a T56 6 speed. so i'll keep up with you guys in the turns too

the Ls chevy motors are actually no hevier than the l series 240z engine and you can mount them back further so they handle just fine. and they are a dam fine engine to
I am not a fan of putting v8's in the old datsuns either but i will admit they are an animal with them in them

As for now the engine and all will remain stock...

It does have some goodies on it... the round top carbs, performance exhaust header, 5 speed transmission. Just installed new front rotors and calipers, working on disc brake rear conversion.... new wheel bearings... you know.. you tear into something and it turns into a whole bunch more stuff to do... Have put on a bunch of new bushing on suspension parts, new u-joints...

Been working on putting in the new black diamond vinyl in the interior, put dynamat on the floor and some other places.. Seats and doorskins have been re-upholstered in black leather... Mostly just trying to get it back together and on the road right now.. Tweaks will come later.

In my eyes i dont think mine will ever be finished . there will always be something that i can improve. we are lucky here in australia. they never came out with the 4 speed. only 5 speeds or autos
