I will try my best to keep this short.
I bought a 1975 Honda CB360T from a dude in Gurnee IL for $900. He said he rebuilt the engine, put on CB450 forks and CB450 carbs. I rode it for a lil bit and bought it right there on the spot.
Here it is when I first got it:
September rolled around and as the riding season began to close, I got to taking it apart, cleaning it, and making cafe mods.
Here it is during the winter:
A couple hundred dollars more and a lot of blood sweat and tears later, I ended up with this:
Shout out to everyone on this forum, and especially Loco Leon who really helped me out with the seat pan and cafe seat tips!
I spent a LOT of time in Gurnee, back in the mid-90's. I was there every week for about a year or so, flying in from Toronto to Milwaukee every Sunday night, and flying back home Thurs/Fri. I stayed in the Holiday Inn there for a while, but then found the Radisson just north of Gurnee. Much nicer hotel, at least 10 years ago.
I should point out that I am not 100% done, more like 99%, hehe
As you can see the brake caliper in the front is missing. I took it apart and I am still waiting on a replacement part before I can stick it back on again. I also left the rubber protective sleeve on the aftermarket master cylinder brake lever to keep it "virgin" until I get the caliper installed. ;D
I got the exact same beast, but it is no where near a cafe racer yet. I will be wrenching at her this weekend and hopefully she will finally be ride-able!!
Just a suggestion (not negative at all!) - I noticed you have the chrome trim around the bottom of the tank, have you thought of putting the same trim around the bottom of the cowl? or would that look stupid?
My camera got busted up so I don't have new pics. I took apart the seat "chrome" trim and put it on the bumstop seat, which makes the seat pan blend in a bit more.
Awesome! I still need to figure out some kinks with the bike:
I get backfiring in the left muffler every 2 seconds when idling. I think it is from an air leak where the headers meet the exhaust pipe (I can feel it)
I have had issues with the bike stalling at stoplights. I cleaned the carbs thoroughly but haven't had a chance to testride since I am still dealing with the issue above.
Because of the stalling issue, I never take the bike out further than 10 min. from my garage.

i have a '72 cl350. it did the bachfire thing cuz it needed the valves adjusted. and it did the stall thing cuz the clutch was warped and wasnt fully disengaging. not saying thats definately your problem as my bike is a bit older/different, and it could be other stuff too, but maybe somehting to check if you get stumped.
Hey I love the cb450 forks and would love to put a set on my 75 cb360. I do have a question what modifications if any were needed to do the conversion? Also what parts would I need to get to switch mine over?
Thanks
To tell you the truth, I am not sure! I purchased the bike this way, and I wasn't aware of the different front end till I started posting pics after buying it, and the vintage buffs let me know.
From what I can tell, you will need a CB450 triple tree as well since it differs for a CB360. Note that your instrument cluster bracket will no longer work, so you will have to fabricate some adapter piece to fit the CB360 one in there.
Well I am going to keep my eyes open for a set....I love the way it looks. I am just starting to build up a 360 that I traded a guy a bottle of wine for....she needs some work but I want to restore/customize the her.
