I got this bike last year in September for $100 with title..

This is how she came home.. I thought it would be a quick 1 month rehab, rebuild the carbs. re-seal the forks and ride.. Now I know how wrong I was!!

It's been a year and it's just now ready to ride.. All the work has been mechanical and electrical stiff. I haven't done much about the appearance unless it had something to do with repairs like polishing the fork legs while I was rebuilding them.

The laundy list of what has been done.

Seat recovered (Sargent Cycle Carbon FX)
Carbs dipped and rebult (all new O-rings from Robert Barr, the rest from Z1
New Battery
New battery cables
Starter solenoid ( MIA when I got the bike)
Upgrade to FH008 Regulator Rectifier from a 08 CBR600RR (stock regulator was MIA with a GS850 ignitor wired in it's place)
many many electrical repairs
clean/repair handle bar switches
add clubman bars
replace forks and trees (originals were bent)
new fork seals and polish lower legs
new wheel bearings
New Rear EMGO Shocks (stiff but good for my big butt)
new Avon Road Rider tires
New 530 Chain and Sprockets
RAASK Rear sets ( a GS550 set I adapted to fit the bike)
found correct side covers
replace sheared starter clutch bolts
Amazing. the brakes are OK.. Inspect and flushed with new fluid
Dyna Ignition (not yet installed)
de-rust tank and had the rear mount tab welded back on (used Vinegar to de-rust..)
rebuild petcock
new vac and fuel lines
Engine still needs to be re-sealed.. She leaks at the head cam chain tunnel O-ring

As she sits today.. Paint will happen over the winter..

Thanks.. The kids like to come sit on the bikes while I'm working on them..
When I rolled it out to tune the carbs and take pics they all had to climb on..

The real trick is keeping them off it when it looks like this
