my bobber build

what fender did you use? I need to get myself a raw steel fender on the slightly cheap since I'm having the worst time getting the chrome off my stock fender.
 
That is a stock xs front fender. I just used my dremel and a sanding wheel to go downto the nickel. It took about half an hour to do.
 
oh ok, that's cool. It looks like raw steel in the photos. I'm using a round of hydrochloric acid, then going with sanding. I'm trying to pull everything off though, including the nickel and copper.

Anyway.......

I changed directions with the bike mostly because the Peanut tank wouldn't fit with the top engine mount and I didn't have the balls to cut it up since it was worth a pretty penny.

I am not very eager to ride an xs with the top mount out so I went back to my original plans for the bike.

It has been named "Last Caress" my fave Misfits tune.

I had Jason Parker retunnel the old Coffin tank so it won't be frisco'd anymore. i also changed up the tail light for a tombstone light.
This is what I wanted to do before I got caught up in the peanut craze :/

Here is a current pic. The tank is back at Jason's havin the tabs welded and a new bung put in before lining.

To me it's more my style now.

Well picked up the pwk carb kit from a fellow member over the weekend and got it mounted up, so I figued it was time for some more pics

First start of the bike so far. Needs lots of sheet ironed out but I'm real happy to have a running engine.

Nice man! Always a good feeling.

I bet it will start easier if you stand on the bike so you can use all of your weight and push straight down on the kicker.
 
I was prior to that ;) my leg got tired lol.

I have the Paco in now and it starts first kick an purrs like a kitten!

I'll post a vid up tomorrow. Just need to sync the carbs and finish some adjustments.
 
What do I always seem to find these video's at work where I can't visit youtube!!!
