Been Around the Block
Been refraining from posting pics of this until I got it to somewhere where I want it. I hope its accepted even tho its not 30 years old. ;D
Lots of the stuff I got off of British Customs, the bar is off some old bike somewhere, found it in my friends garage. Its quick, it handles, it looks bitchin, what more can you ask for?
ps.Looks like my 75 CB360 is going to be off to a new home next week too, will be sad to see that go without me tearing it up and making it awesome.

So, without the usual "paid to write" motorcycle reviews found in the magazines, what are your thoughts about the bike. Obviously, you're quite smitten with it, but what's it like to live with an '09 Bonneville? I'm asking because I have more than a passing interest in the '10 Thruxton and would like to know more about how the bike handles and runs from a real person. Thanks in advance!

I was torn between the thruxton and the bonneville initially, but went with the bonneville because I wanted everything black, and it could easily be made into a truxton if I felt like it needed to be.
Honestly, its hard for me to make a review. I have rode only a few bikes in my lifetime. I got my license specifically because I saw that this bike existed. Took my course, bought the CB360 (just like a smaller version of the bonneville somewhat) and learned from there. Once I sold my 69 442, it was straight to the dealership to get the bike.
Upgrading to the bonneville was seamless. It was light (495 pounds) I can maneuver it wherever I wanted. It has lots of torque. Enough HP to please. Looks awesome and turns heads everywhere (more when you leave the city where the dealership is, because there might be a couple more around. I think there is only like 3 dealerships in Ontario, that I have heard of anyways). If you have something older like on this site, you would be gaga over this bike. Its bigger, faster, less maintenance, and yet still small enough, inexpensive enough, to add onto, or take away at will.
I did a ton of research before getting on one, and I am not disappointed. The new engines are said to be bulletproof. If you read anything on triumphrat.net you will find tons of reviews, honest reviews (not like a harley forum) by really nice guys who know what they are talking about (much unlike a harley forum). I have gotten tons of help from them in making decisions. That would be a great place for you to start researching more information from smarter and more experienced men then myself.

This guys jealous. I love the new bonnies man. I like the fact that at a glance it could be mistaken for a much older bike, but the components are all modern. SWEET SWEET SWEET.

Very nice , the new Thruxton is one sweet bike as well. I have a 74 Trident that will be similar when finished.
Keep the Trumpets blowing!
