My CB 350 Budget bobber/cafe

ha ha ha i know i know, everytime i have a few cocktails in me, i walk over to it and un cover it... ha ha ha just sit on it waiting!

hey man,
just wondering if you finished this bike yet???
really wanting to see what it turns out like.
i am building a bobber and it is about the same type of job, just alittle smaller cm200t.

any way, whats up on the bike???????????????????????
later.

I Like what I seeing. I'm looking at picking up a '70 CB350 and changing it to a bobber (was going to make it into a hardtail but I think you talked me out of it).

Keep up the good work.

wow long time since i pulled this out of the dust! haha ha
anyway... got the swing arm off... and about ready to ship out to chris... i am in no rush on this one... still trying to get the title BS worked out... got this bike from a buddy and his house burnt down with the title in it... well since then we have had a falling out a bit... and i hardly see him... so... it is slow going and i am ok with that...
i can not belive this is over a year old! ha ha ha i have all the parts i need in stock to finish it.. chris will do my swing arm... i am prob going to do an air ride suspension... but that will all have to wait till the arm is done and i figure out where the shock mounts are... with the frame modified i have a few options on that one... still have to powder it... i am going black... as much as i hate it... the frame is getting a raw metal color with full textrue... tank is getting textrued black (cause we have that left over from my brothers gold wing) rear fender is gold... front end is going to be powdered black texture, wheels are getting powdered gold as well...
in the tank dents will have my letters in them done in gold leafing... gold leafing is going to be all over this bike, jockey shift with hand clutch, yada, yada, yada....
i have a street fighter to finish first but then this will get my full attention!

Glad you dusted that thing off even if it is just to tell her you haven't forgot about her, hahaha. Color scheme sounds pretty cool! Hopefull the title thing will work out. If not, throw her on the trailer when you come down and I'll take her off your hands ;D

saw Coreys wheel and fell in love... so... i gots me one!
$10 on ebay. has a bit of dings in it i am told but i can fill those in no problem

yes sir! Mailing my swing arm out today, and placing the order for the CB350, CB500, and FZR600 powder... going to be $$$$, but at least i will have it all!
the FZR gets torn down this weekned. i wnat to have it done and in storage again after christmas! going to work like mad to get it done

I was just looking at the wheel you're getting again and noticed the brake arm is a little different on it. I'm thinking that the cable I just got might be for an arm like you have. It looks like the arm on my wheel should have a bigger end on the cable for it. I'll have to look at some more cables online to see if they are different.

cool sounds great! well let me know if that one will not work for you, if my stock one is beat to hell (and it prob is) i will prob just buy that one off you if it is for sale

Ya I think I do need a different one. My wheel is off an '86 XL250 I think it was and it looks like the cable I got is for one of the wheels from the 70's... What year of bike did your wheel come off of?

82' i think... we will see when it gets here but i am almost 100% sure it is off an 82

Ok and I can get a picture of the end of this cable to show you when you get the wheel. If it won't work for you I can just put it back on ebay.

The more I think about it, the cable I got looks like a clutch cable... Maybe some of the brake cables had that end, but the it looks like the end of the clutch cable on my 450. I wonder if the guy just had it labeled wrong or sent me the wrong cable.

new game plan... i am too stoked about this build so i am going to work on it as i work on the others that come in.

customers dyna is done (see the 350 stashed in the far left)

before that some TLC needs to be spent in the shop cleaning and organizing, i got the table out, all the tools put up from my last build and ready for my rocket build coming in later this week... I also put 75ft of insulation in the attic, AWESOME results... so i am going to clean the next 2 days then get the bikes in there again

got the new rim... may break it and the rear wheel down for powder this week. we will see how the time frame is going. still need to decide on the final colors for the wheels so i am going to do a mock up to get an idea of how it fits...
Chris, swing arm is boxed FINALLY! and ready to be sent out!

I am going to work to have it done by that, even if i have to focus on that alone for a few weeks. it all depends what the wife wants to do, she wants her cafe done, but she can always take the enfield as well and be happy with that. I wish my TX500 cluch was not so stiff she could ride that. but i am going to hope to have the Cb bob done by Troys!

Right on... Im pushin to make sure my shits ready... and my paint is up to your discerning standards! :D
