My CB360 barn find

A set of small alligator clips is usually sufficient to act as heat sinks and they're very easy just to clip to existing wires. No worries about a vice or other large equipment. Just go fast with your soldering and they're fine.

I rid myself of the push cable headache a while ago. Too much of a pain in the butt.

Besides setting booby traps for that damned mailman. hows it going?
Also have you noticed blossom isnt looking herself these days.
And I want a Kawi, just so I can paint Buttercup on the tank! Her eyes are Kawi green.

Just finished going through your build. Great work!!!

Thanks for the details, it will help many of us as we aspire to achieve your success.

Thanks man! I am really stoked you like what I put together. I hope it can help some people a long the way, I guess the biggest things I have learned from it are don't buy a bike with out a title in missouri an make sure you give yourself room for the back tire when you are cutting your frame and welding in the rear loop. I have gotten way more from others on here than I feel I have given but I'm glad to be a part of dtt cause this bike never would get done with out it.

And trek I am just waiting on my electrical components I finally got everything figured out and am just waiting for the parts to come in. I guess I need to find me a cool old robot to be my avitar now lol I'll see what I can do! Get a kawi! Nothing cooler than buttercut on a vintage bike! Totally awesome idea!

I love your bike, and the progress. I'm new to the forum, but just read the saga in it's entirety. You're giving me some much needed motivation. Will be following.

I'm new to this forum and I've gotten caught up on a few of the builds here and I'm thoroughly impressed and in awe. Your build, as well as a couple others have inspired me to want to find a CB360 and make a project out of it. When I see builds like this, I think "There's no way in hell I could ever do that." I love how your bike turned out. Fantastic job!

Yes you can. It will just cost you more and take more time than you think. But it gives you something to stare at every day with satisfaction.

wow guys i cant say thanks enough, its really not even done. i feel a litttle bad getting praise and recognition for spending a year building a bike that is not done or street legal yet haha. but i am super glad others like it as much as i do. and you tottaly can do it all. i realy didnt know what i was doing when i started and i totally feel the same way about cracking open my motor and going at it. but i am sure i am going to have to do that sometime in the future. just go get a 360. if thats what you want, and me and the other 360 guys (who are way way smarter than me) will never leave you hangin. all you have to do is ask for help and you will get it. from start to finish.

Now, that right there is the understatement of the century! LOL If I had a dime for everytime I thought my bike was "Finished" I might have enough $$$ to pay for it all.

I am still having a really hard time picking out colors, mostly because my wife says she will kill me if i try and paint anything black, i want it to look classy and vintage, but i really cant decide on what colors are going to help me get the look i want. i have seen a lot of bikes i really like, but i dont want to just copy somebody elses ideas, i want it to be original. so far, all i know i want is a head light visor... i guess i will just see how it plays out. im going for round 2 on the seat today, i will get some pictures up when its taken shape.

Imitation is the best form of flattery. If you see bikes on other builds that you envy then I say do it up but give credit where it's due. I see amazing things on here all the time that I intend on using but if I'm ever on the cover of cafe racer then you better believe that "fatherjon" from "dotheton" is gonna be in the article. lol.

Holy cow! You guys sure are some nice people! Thanks so much man. I am really happy I have made something people enjoy looking at! Im honored that you would mention me! To be honest at this point it's just pissing me off its not done yet. I feel like if I just had a few hours to work on it I could get it done. But I have just been so busy with work and family and the new house. The project has been amazing but I am ready to ride. I just wish the bike was.

You either have lots of time or lots of money. It is almost done. Maybe you should consider hiring someone to finsh her off if it's that close and no time? Just a thought.

Haha sadly I have neither of those. I have done all the work on it my self up to this point I am not gonna let somebody else have the glory of finishing it off. I have a 3 day weekend coming up so I'm gonna see what I can do with that. I still need two more parts too. They are in the mail but one is from china and the other is from the Czech republic could be a few more days on those

That's a sin! One of the main axioms of thermodynamics!!!
You're not cooling down your garage... you're heating it up ;D.
You're better of with just the fan blowing.

Hope your last parts arrive soon man!!
