after a bit of this and that and a science project it was up and running

then new battery fuses tires calipers drilled rotors fork seals fork brace master cylinder front and rear

petcocks clutch plates clutch springs (dyno ate them) clutch cable plugs coils oil filter find a good tank and gas cap

tires brake pads controls handlebars a head light and some other stuff

its starting to get there

well im off to build it some new exhaust and a rear hoop and tail light so i can go for a ride

ok a little cutting tig welding and a trip to the junk box of harley cans and some hanger making and drilling

voila i have a no leak exhaust that does not look to bad

OK, hold on there - need much more detail on that custom twin 1-2 manifold setup and carbs!!

Dig the progress brother...... So nice of you to help that Yamaha with all of your Honda expertise.... ;)

with all the stuff i have swapped around it may have to be called a Yamda

yes i make the intakes they are borrowed from cb900 carb kit

such talent...... Other than the calipers my GL doesn't say Honda anywhere, I love the guessing game with the general "I have no idea what Im looking at" public. Do you think you'll strip the badges or advertise the mix?

people have no eye for detail so it does not matter what you call or label it

well said.... Had a guy at the gas station yesterday drooling over the bike.... couldn't believe it was a goldwing. I told him "thx but this one is still a work in progress, you should look on DTT and NGW club at what real builders do with these things..... I'm an amateur novice"
his reply " I would have never thought YOU weren't a pro builder"
made me blush........ what a nice guy :)

ok a quick update lol

i was just out on the road for the first time almost have it where i want it

the thing hauls i need a bit more ignition work but otherwise its good

front brakes still suck lol even with the fork brace i feel

like its cloudy with a chance of a front end swap

the progressives i put on the back are good no more jacking around on

a hard twist of the throttle

the new shinkos 230s hang on great and feel good!

i have to go thru the new tail light wiring as the lamp indicator is not happy

and its not a oil pressure issue

i have to finish tig welding the new rear frame section and then decide

what i am doing about side covers as then i can get them and the tank and

seat pan vinyl wrapped to match my other demo bikes
