I grew up ridding every Ray Barbee board ever made by Powell Peralta.It was either decks or snowboards, the miss's liked the idea of decks. I still need to finish that painting though.

I cheated and paid a polisher to polish them, from memory they cost me round $50 AU for both hubs and picked up the spokes off evilBay. All up excluding tyres cost me around $140 AU to polish, blast, powdercoat, lace and truing. Give it a go as you can see by the end result it is worth it.

After carefully studying the pictures I noticed that the rim around the speedo looks very similar to the rim around the headlight. So now I'm leaning towards the white.. thanks guys

Yup, I like the black. I don't think the white is the right kind of "pop" for this bike. You definitely have the vintage feel going on here and the black is more sleek with that lamp. White gauges are too modern imho.
