Hi. I purchased this bike as I've always loved this style of bike. I have cleaned the fuel tank and the carby, replaced the fuel lines and put in a new fuel filter. It needs a new exhaust muffler, mirrors, throttle cable replaced etc etc. I think it's either a 1974 or 1975. It's displacement is 122cc and it has a tachy. None of the lights work, so I may need to check the battery as well as wiring.
Any advice would be really appreciated. Can anyone tell me the year from the photos?
Assuming it's completely stock it's definitely not a 74-76 model as those came with a shitty cable operated front disc. Check the steering stem for the VIN sticker/plate. It should have a date of manufacture on it that'll help you date the bike.
Decided to tackle some of the polishing and took the brake light off only to find it wasn't even connected to the wiring. The guy I bought it off said he had it serviced when he got it and then it has basically sat in storage for 6 years...hmmm. Also, I doubt the light is original!!!
Hi guys. I've worked out it's a 1974 model and have begun stripping the bike frame. Got the engine off today and started some wire wheeling. Next is to get front forks off and then I can finish the wire wheel work before painting. Here's some photos
