Grab a sealded battery from an sr400. It's part number YT4B-BS. Google that and you'll have plenty of battery suppiers to get it from. It's on ebay too. It's a small battery, weighs about 1kg and will fit sideways under your seat.
Fast? I'm doing an SR as well so of course i'm watching your thread I was gonna do the eliminator but in the end i wanted to be able to have lights with the engine off, so i've decided on the battery i sent the link for. It's pretty small because you don't need power to run a starter motor. Yes it can be mounted sideways, left right, upside down because it's a sealed battery. It's either a sealed gel battery or a sealed lead acid, maybe they're the same thing?? In terms of a tray, get onto the sr500 forum and see if you can dig up some photos. There's a few guys who have 400's on there. You might be able to pick up a second hand battery tray somewhere too. I guess deus ex machina in sydney ditch theirs from time to time when they install battery eliminators, you could try emailing them. Personally, i'd just get some thin aluminium plate, bend it up and put it where you want it.
Over here we're limited to lower power bikes under 660cc while we're on our motorcycle learners permit. For me it was a choice between an SR500, a CX500 and an XS650. I really wanted an SR and one came up for the right price so i jumped on it. I was always mad on older nortons and triumphs and other small capacity jap and european bikes growing up so it was an easy choice. I'm now on a full bike license but I'll never sell the SR i reckon, she is my first scoot after all. I've got a CX500 lined up that i'm getting this weekend too, only the XS to get after that
hahahahhahahhahh jesus....the same story like me....cx500-xs...are realy hard to find in Greece...i think ive seenonly on in my life...mabe 2 and the sr came in the right price at the rite time...so i got it!!!
keep it up Staffy!!!!!
Any sugestions about polishing the bike?
aluminium polishing..and other metal parts.. I need instructios..tips...links any think!

Polishing isn't really my thing. I prefer metal parts to be really clean as opposed to polished if you know what i mean. I don't know if you can get it there but autosol, a few beers and a whole lot of elbow grease seems to bring a good result. Just don't use that stuff with a buffer, it'll burn on.
looks good, heat the cover on your seat with a blow dryer or heat gun then stretch it... will be much smooooother start on one section and work your way around
I'm not sure you need to bother with that inline filter bud. There's a screen in the petcock in the tank and that should be enough. I've read before that inline filters a lot of people add to their bikes are too restrictive and a regular tank clean out is a better idea.

I disagree. I always run inline filters and have never had an issue with them. In fact, they've saved my ass more times than I can count. If they are too restrictive, buy a larger size.
