Ride'm for fun and loyal to none-although the Pegaso has been in the stable for over 4 years, that's a record!
Anyway, I live in Wasilla, Alaska, 40 miles north of Anchorage (which is only 15 minutes away from) Alaska. Most of my riding is dual sport stuff, for which I have one of these-

Aprilia Pegaso, 650cc thumper

And one of these

and what a freakin Panzer it is. A bitch to pick up if I get a bit outside the intended envelope. ;D

Got this one also, son's girlfriend and beginning rider not included-H*nda CM400E. Bike was free, cost $100 in gaskets to put it back together.

And this one, which is going to be a cafe bike once I finish her up.

Here's one I used to own, BSA unit twin in a XS500 frame, the FrankenBeezer. Sold it to help finance the GS.

dialup guys, fear me...... ;D

Well, let me be the first to welcome you to the board!!..
Alaska!!.. WOW.. I have to say I think you are our first member that far North!!..

Since you are a bikeaholic, (like the rest of us), I think you'll fit in just nicely... ;D

Great bikes!
Good job on the BSA.

Forget dialup, keep the Pics coming!

You posted pics of frankenbeezer somewhere else recently. love the look.
I guess those dual sports are required part of the ride up in the great white north.

cheers

Sweet selection of bikes! Couple guys I ride with have driven up to Alaska and run their KLR's up there - sounds FANTASTIC and definitely on the "todo" list.

I've recently been scoping out getting into a dual purpose too - the roads in SK suck! Lots of nice grid roads and such though, and when you go up north it's absolutely stunning! While I'd love to get something German or Italian, I think a V-Stom 650 will likely fit the bill. Sadly I'll have to thin out my collection to get it...

It's funny trying to justify "needing" so many bikes to my wife - so hopefully she becomes a rider this summer and understands. Plus it means her having her own bike which is another bike we can have... :)
