have a duc monz 250 narrow case myself. So I am partial to your build. Looks great. Out of curiosity did you crack the motor open or any photos of the rebuild on that bike? as I am curious to note the differences etc. Ignition you use unless you stuck with original points.
Sorry Miken i dont have pics of the engine when it was being re-built but yes we did opened it and its a mission to bring it back specially the head. Theres a lot of moving parts and the timing is really complicated which me ended up calling real mechanic/s for help. Bad thing is the only info I have when i bough this bike is a parts manual and have nothing on the technical setting of the engine and timing so its like a trial and error for us. The carbs, we managed to adapt Mikuni and Keihin parts which kinda worked as that the only available item here in our place. I think the 250 and 160 is the same on the crank, im not sure though if the head is the same but for sure the block and valves is beefier on your 250. For the points, we adapted points set from a Honda TMX155s (5speed - i cant remember what model it is) which is still available here. Well the build process on this bike is really frustrating but its all worthed specially when you hear the sound of the bevel drive head. The bike runs and idles really good and i think the mods we did on it works ;D. Good luck on your build!
