my latest and favorite-2000 1200S Sportster

I always thought the point of a V-twin was that you could have a very narrow bike. but for some reason its always, fat tanks fat tires, far saddle bags, fat riders. I am down with this build!

Great bike I had to read start to finish before making any comments (just found the thread) I would flip the front wheel to match the rear spoke pattern. By looking at it now I think the rotors are backwards of typical normal so leave them and flip the wheel to match the rear? For the best handling using damper rod forks I'd look at some RACE TECH Emulators I'd try "M" handle bars by Norman Hyde for Cafe comfort, they have some pull back and you might not need the set backs? I have a pair on my Honda CX500 Cafe bike. I make my own side stands from cho-mo tubing for lighter weight, saves about 1# and you can choose your own lean angle. The Harley rear Master cylinder should be called "massive cylinder, swap that out to save a bit of weight too. What size tires did you use? I have the exact same wheel set for my current project. I also used Gold Hammerite paint on my XS650 it's a cool effect. There's a Sportster gas tank that's a bit more Cafe style and would cover some of the steering head casting but I'm not the best on naming HD models. Post a sound file so we can hear the engine with that two into one pipe. Thanks for building a cool bike, great design. I wish I would have found this build sooner.
Cheers, 50gary

Here is the new front mounted oil tank. Its made out of 16g steel and only weighs 3lbs.

Tuesday I'll get the wiring cut down and sorted and its fire up time!

I came up with my own company name awhile ago, Fistful Co, as in a fistful of throttle. I really like the chrome setup I have, but thought I'd see what a painted tank and fender would look like. I painted the tank with red and white and pinstriped it with black. The logo I had done up by the local sign company in vinyl stickers.
I dig it.

I still love it, but the white tank doesn't do it for me like the polished look did. It is still a badass ride...

Yeahhh Matt!
I've never seen a Harley take form like this... hell, makes me want to build up a V-Twin.
I passed by a Ducati today on campus, had a rear swing/suspension like that, so wild.
Why did you change that little oil reservoir? That first aluminum one with the springs looked sweet

Thanks Cle- the alloy tank cracked wide open on me on the freeway. Never did want to have it rewelded and didn't feel like making a new one. So I went with steel this time.
