My lovely 360 Carbs.

So I've had a 360 now for a few weeks, picking away at it on the weekends and whenever i get a minute, trying to get it back into form. I've had the carbs out once and cleaned them, everything actually looked like it was in good shape. My initial reason for taking the carbs out to clean them was the bike was sputtering out shortly after start up and gas was leaking from the seam where the carbs and float bowl join.

Cleaned them and put them back in again, same issues, gas was actually leaking worse. So pulled them out again and noticed I dont have AIR/FUEL adjustment needle springs in either of the carbs. Do these springs help control gas flow into the crab? Could this be the reason Im having these issues?

Thanks guys.

They do not - but you need them anyway.

Sounds like you need a couple float bowl gaskets. And check that your floats are functioning properly (floating, not sticking, set at the proper height, etc).
