I picked up this master cylinder a little over a year ago for my daily rider, then went with a new aftermarket unit instead. Now I want to use it for my bratty build, but I need to rebuild it and forgot what bike it came off of. I know it was a cb somethingorother, but don't know which one precisely. ???
Are the pistons all the same size or will I be screwed if I get the wrong kit?
Here's the cylinder - I've polished it, I hope that doesn't hamper the identification:
Its a CB master. Call a place where they sell the kits and ask them if a cb450-cb750 have the same part# If i was a betting man id say they were the same. They are all single piston single calipers dispacing about the same amount of fluid...... I not a better.
Thanks for the input. I rolled the dice and ordered a rebuild kit that lists a large number of 70s cb bikes. It also had a picture of a similar master cylinder. If it doesn't fit, I'll report back as a warning to other folks trying to rebuild an unknown cylinder.
