Need 15-20 Vintage bikes in GTA for another TV commercial shoot...

locOleoN

Is that the best you got? OK.. now my TURN...
Hey guys,

I was contacted by a local advertising company working on a TV commercial for a new line of Designer Blue Jeans.
They want to shoot 15-20 "vintage bikes" in 2 scenes and are in dileberating on either a group of old harleys or some brit/cafe racer type bikes. (of course Im pushing our bikes...)

They are scheduled to shoot sometime in July around the Distillery, King West village and other areas.
We will be paid for the use of the bikes and to ride it in a closed off area, however they want a 50's "time period" look and feel and the commercial will be shot partly in black and white so we need to have "time period" gear ie: helmets, no helmets etc..etc...

So they are still deciding on the direction and they will let me know in a few weeks with some details.

I need a list of some people who want to be in the shoot. I committed to getting back to them some pics of the bikes, (from out site) & a total number of committed bikes by no later than 15th of June.

So whos in??!!...

So I got:
1. Me
2. Rudeboy
3. Saucer
4. DrJ
5. Druro
6. Rudy
7. Ken
8. TinTin
9. Scratch.
10. Ken750
11. Represto
12. Fugue
(extra) - ButterflyMETH in a Bikini
13. 68Bonnie
14. Rudy
15. Gillian
16. Represto

They want a 50's period look and are thinking about using 1970's bikes?

I'll come out to watch the fun, but somehow I don't think a 1975 BMW fits the look they're going for.

Hmmm... Let me know. ;)

I'll be halfway there in mid-late july... possibly in my truck (in which case my bike will be in the back)...
Although the seca has mags and a shaft drive. Probably doesn't fit the bill...

If I'm here, I'm in. I've even scored an old sckool bucket (i'll get pics late)

That's a daily thing for DrJ isn't it? It's just that now he'll get paid for it. :D

This is pretty cool though. Keep us in the loop if this goes ahead so we can keep an eye out on TV.

I'm guessing that the 400 with mags doesn't fit the 50's style bill, though some hot chick d----d over it would look smokin in a commercial! The 650 isn't really cafe racer, but may fit in a little better with the hardly crowd. Could really use $1000 right about now.

Noel, let me know if the 400 or 650 would work and I'll focus all my energy on getting it running and on the road for the commercial. You can take some pics from the thread, or if you want some different ones, I could take some for you to pass on.

<<<< hey hey! made it to "walkin legend"!!!!

Hey Rudy,
Personally I dont think it really matters. What I understand, is that they dont want "street bikes", so its either harleys or something else... I think we are the "Something else" option. My none of my bikes are "period correct" thats for sure.
I have a cb750 that someone could ride in the shoot if they want - TinTin?.
I understand that they just want a "gang" of old bikes for a back drop or something...

I'll get details hopefully soon.

Well, my 650 might not be running and street-worthy by then, but it will certainly look the part and could sit still. So count it in for scenery and I can always ride a spare bike around. And who knows, maybe the BMW wouldn't look out of place. Whatever - let me know.

I might be in for riding someone else's bike. Do I get a cut of the $1000?
;D

I have a buddy pass now (AirCanada free ride WOOT!).

In any event, let me know if the seca would fit in Noel, and the date.
