Please forgive my ignorance...I have a 1982 yamaha seca 550...does anyone know the handlebar size? i have looked all over the web and have been told two different sizes...i'm looking to get some drag bars...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Easy. Use a ruler or buy a set of dial calipers. You'll never stop using them.

Are the 2 sizes 7/8"s and 22mm?

I would be amazed if they weren't 7/8" bars.

They are 7/8".

The two sizes are 7/8" on everything else and 1" on some/all HD's.

And some of us use FatBars which I think are 1 1/8" but taper down to 7/8 at the ends to take normal controls and switches.

7/8 = 22.225mm - they're the same size (2.54cm / inch)

The two common handlebar sizes are 7/8" and 1". 99.9% of Japanese / European bikes have 7/8" bars. Some Triumphs had 1" I think.


American bikes have 1" bars 'cause, well, y'know. 7/8" is kinda hard to compute in Milwaukee.
