Need a title?? Easy Peasy from the Great State of Maine!!

Guys, Looks like I may have to stop for a little while until I figure out how I can do it legally with my new status as a dealer here in Maine. I had to get a dealers license as I will have a retail shop opening in the spring that will buy and sell old bikes. I'll keep you posted.

Dont sweat it. You can take the bike down to the DMV and have an inspection done, then take the paper work over to your insurance agent and have a bond issued (around $50 at American Family) and then go back to the DMV and get your bonded title. It will expire in 12 months and then you can get it titled in your name.

I pulled this exact move in NYS via a friend of mine in Maine a few years ago. Good to see another opportunity via this board! Hopefully the dealer thing actually ends up making it easier on you?

Hey deisel, Had any luck with WA state. I think I found a guy from Maine thats willing to help me. It would be great to know if this works here before I paid him. Any info on this and the process would be GREAT!!!

PM'd you.

I pray to the motorcycle gods that this works in Indiana.
