Need advise on track CB350 Need Advise Quick!

Guy's I just picked up a 1970 cb350. I have read that other folks are upgrading their front suspension with cb450 bits. I have a deal lined up on a 1970 cb 450 upper/lower triples, Forks, front axle.front hub,brake assembly and all spacers and hardware. My question is will the cb450 front end mount up to the 1970 cb350?

It kinda does. You can get the 450 front end to mount on a 350 with no modification however its not really a good idea. The 350 steering stem is longer than the 450 steering stem. So when you bolt on the 450 front end to a 350 frame there aren't really enough threads grabbed by the top nut to really be considered safe.
What you want to do is grind the weld off the bottom of the steering stem on both triple trees. Then press out both steering stems. Then take the 350 stem and press it into the 450 lower triple tree and re-weld it to keep it in place.
I have done this same thing on my 350 and it worked great.
