Hello,

looking for tires for my CB350 twin....

Rim Sizes are 18x185 and 18x215....

Cant seem to find tires to fit these...know that sounds stupid but ive never ordered motorcycle tires before and all the numbers referencing the sizes is confusing....looking to spend less than 100 per tire if possible....

thanks,

Go to your local dealer and see if they will let you look through there "take-offs". They have to pay to dispose of them. So they usually will give them away. Just tell'm you'll be back for new ones when you can afford them.

I'm not to proud... I do it all the time when I'm 1st getting my bikes together. Yes, I eventually buy new ones. But you'd be surprised to see what people leave behind.

remember wider doesnt always mean better on stock rims.. if u put the widest tire u can on a stock rim it will have alot more radius because its more "squeezed", possibly decreasing your contact patch

i also like bridgestone battlax bt45's have them on my kz650 but mine are v rated.

def check here for best pricing shopping.. they usually have the lowest price and fre shipping over $99

motorcycle super store has the lost prices i got mine for about 65 for the back one and the front was about 55

I just last week put new tires on my73 cb350f. I was originally looking at the Avon roadrider (AM26) tires. Then I found some I liked just as well for a lot less money. What I then ordered from denniskirk.com (best prices I could find!) was Kenda Challengers (K657). For the front I put on a 100/90 X18 and the back is 110/90 X 18. I've been riding the hell out of them and like em! I can tell you this, I don't think you could go any bigger than I did on the front, very little side to side clearance. You might be able to go bigger on the rear, but I don't think I would.

Hope that helps!

even a 90/90 front 'bulges' out from rim, must be really 'stable' with a 100 tyre on 1.60 rim? (or do you run 42psi?) ;D

I've not noticed anything bad so far. I have hit some pretty good turns at 60 mph and noticed no rollover. It's really close to the fork brace so if the tire were rolling over I think I would hear or feel it, but no rubbing at all on the brace. I run my tire right around 32 psi.

thanks guys, yea rims arent stock... EXCEL rims 18x1.85 and 18x 2.15....was kinda worried about front clearance so wanted to keep its width to the minimum...kinda the same for the back too...i just dont know how to read tire sizes and reference them to rim width.

After searching for tires, I've found that denniskirk does have some good prices. I found some avon road riders for less than $100.
