need help polishing cases

I wanna polish my cases on my cb500t there oxidized. How can i get them to mirror a shine or shiney at least?

Send them to a polisher.
Unless you have a 1.5+HP 8" pollisher at home it will be a nightmare

Here is a before and after picture:

It required many stages. First I had to grind off the gouges and reshape a little with 120 grit in an air tool. I progressed with wet sanding with 220, 320, 400, 600, 800 paper. Then I buffed with a high speed bench buffer using emery, followed by rouge.

My buffer is a little underpowered but adequate. It is a 3,600 RPM 6" buffer from Harbor Freight.

sounds like alot of work but worth it in the end sounds like i gotta winter project

If you really want that "show" polish, then you will want to remove the cases to do it. Sooo much easier than trying to polish them in place.

I love polished aluminum. It's a bit labor intensive, but it doesn't cost much.
