I have a 18x2.5 Rim for the rear.. Whats the biggest tire I can throw back there? It had previously a 16 inch with a 130/90/16? The front Rim is a 18x1.75.. Need the same info... Help me out.. I used the search engine but everyone is different!!!

Do a google search for Avon tyres - once you find their home page, search it for some kind of tyre / wheel chart. It will show you what size tyres can go on your wheels.

And FYI, rims go on cars, wheels go on bikes.

you're gonna wanna consider what will actually fit the wheel as well as the outer dimensions of the tire for chain/frame contact issues. for width it is a safe bet to increase by 10mm if needed and i would try to keep overall diameter within 5%.

i used this site for the wheel side of the equation http://www.dropbears.com/u/utilities/tyrerim.htm.
simple math will help you figure out the other consideration.

Are you using numbers on rim or did you measure it?
2.50 is WM4, not normal unless it's been re-built?
1.75 doesn't match anything?
WM1 is 1.60"
WM2 is 1.85"
WM3 is 2.15"

I am rebuidling the rear wheel with a 2.5 and the front is a 1.85!

Cool, someone doing it 'right' 8)
I would probably go with a WM3 front to match WM4 rear.
Is it on XS650? ( I have a little experience with them ;D)
probably wouldn't go wider then a 90/90 with WM2 but you can fit a 120 or 130 with WM4.
140 will fit but wears out real fast because beads are 'pinched' (I tried it with a Dunlop, got around 2,000 miles plus it didn't handle very well)
