Here is some old pics i took of my bike, it is a '78 cb550, bought it summer of '07 and have been building it on and off since. The bike is currently apart getting a new cb750f super sport tank on it and the seat shortened a little to accomidate the longer tank, after it will finally be painted bmw urban green (nice olive drab) with gold pinstriping similiar to the old enfields. New pics will be posted when it's finally done..

Hi , I've got a 78 550 as well. I really like the indication lights (neutral etc) where are they from? And where did you hide the ignition?

Bike looks awesome.

Really like the top clamp. I'd love to do something very similar with mine and some tiny gauges.

Nice gauge and upper triple clamp setup. I also love your dual disc install. This bike looks great as is. I can't wait to see the new mods finished.

i used a top triple tree from a 75 and older 550 so the guages are brought closer when the ignition is relocated, i relocated the ignition down by the chain cover on the side of the motor i 'll try and get a pic of it, the indicator lights are just generic lights from pep boys, but speedwaymotors.com has nicer ones, and i grinded down the handlebar clamps flat/even and made a custom plate for the lights..

Super nice bike with tasteful mods! 8)
I really dig the square tail section and the tail light although not recessed into the tail actually looks far better than a lot of them I've seen.
