New Bike! Does anyone know a site to get a diffrent tank???? HELP.

JonnyLong

THIS, is what god looks like.
I have been looking for diffrent tanks and I have found many that I feel would be a great fit...
but the way the tank mounts now. I don't see any other tanks bolting on to my 360 frame.

This is what she looks like now I would like to put a sporster streched tank or something more streamline... any suggestions?

I'm Looking at the 2 bolts on the tanks closeest to the seat... :D

thats an sr tank, or yamaha for sure...

Your not going to find a direct bolt on tank. Your going to have to change something (mounts on the frame) to correspond with the new tank. A 360 tank will no longer bolt up either.

I would think that with a bike that custom (love it btw) "universal" is no longer an option. I would take some measurements, go to a salvage yard and look for a tank that you like and that would fit on your bike and find a way to mount it. A friend with a welder can work wonders ;)

I'm no help, but i think that tank looks great on there.

I agree with Squally,

You can check a scrap yard and you may find something decent, Ebay has tanks all the time so you can check there, or you can look for local swap meets. As for something bolting up to it, that bike looks heavily modified so I doubt you will find anything to bolt right on. I would suggest that you find a tank that you like and make it fit.

For what it's worth, I think the angular lines on that tank really make the bike even more unique. Putting a rounded Sportster tank on it is gonna make it look like all the other rigid 360's with girder front ends ;)

You might consider a peanut tank or a coffin chopper tank for a really classic look.

And are front brakes not required where you are temporarily living?

Is it safe to assume that the reason you keep posting that picture is to finally get someone to bite?

Or as my brother is fond of quoting that famous line...

Surely you must be joking? No I'm not and stop calling me Shirley....

Nah Teazer, the pic is part of his "banner". So it's automatically at the bottom of his posts.

It is a little big for my taste......

Yes, proper forum etiquette is to keep sig images at a reasonable size. This is not reasonable.
