Re: Did the TON! Well.....almost -

We had a mathematical top speed on our drag bug of 154mph, but because the air would create so much lift on the front end we never got above 135mph. We would've had to add air foils on the front for more down force, which for a drag car is no good.

Re: Did the TON! Well.....almost -

Drag car, definitely.

I've actually seen guys add ballast on LSR vehicles though. Always seems funny to add more weight to go faster.

Re: Did the TON! Well.....almost -

Yeah. What got us to 135mph was a bunch of bricks in the front trunk.

I'm siding with Sonreir on this one. Weight affects your acceleration, or how fast you can get to top speed, not the top speed itself. At top speed you are just pushing against the air (unless you are at redline in top gear, then you need to fix your gearing).

Reducing weight allows you to improve your acceleration in all directions, forward, braking, turning, which is generally thought of as your overall performance.

This makes perfect sense when I think of the Bugatti Veyron or Chiron. While much heavier than their supercar counterparts, they only slightly stumble from 0-60. After that, they win every time due to power.

Re: CB 350

I want the frame to look really ratty, so I sanded more of the paint from the frame, and am cleaning up a few things my builder could have done: Im out of my slump. I used to build vintage car engines and driveshafts with my Dad. Got so bored after years and years of doing it. Now I feel like building stuff again and lets face it, this stuff isn't rocket science, its just building, and anyone with knowledge and know-how can do it. Nothing esoteric about it.

Pics from yesterday before I headed out to East Hampton (the hamptons long island nyc. weather is AMAZING these past few days)

I couldn't help but notice the air bubble in your Custom Bespoke Light Enhancing Cafebratracer Headlight mod. Might be worth considering redoing it, as it might detract from the rest of the bikes aesthetics. Just a thought.

I read that as this:

He's talking about the stupid electrical tape.

I put a rubber grommet in later to protect the wires from the sharp edges of the drilled hole and the tape was holding them together until I did.

..not even gonna clapback

My gear, my photography. Yeah i got in to bikes because of the looks. Damn right. Now I'm gonna rock this game to sleep!

I lost this same shirt when I went to live in London. Found the same two weeks ago and had it shipped to me here in Williamsburg. Thrilled. I got my "old" shirt back.

Paired with my Bell Bullitt and Daytona Cruiser 3/4

He's not in it at all. This guy is here for the sole purpose of making trouble. He knows exactly what irks people that are in the know and he plays it like a harp. For all we know he's somebody that had a few extra bucks to buy a bike and build it exactly the way everyone says not to. Just to gain attention. Which is happening.

His TRUE CHARACTER has been demonstrated time and again. He does not wish to either gain nor contribute to this site, but only to garner attention.

Is this the definition you were looking for? This one came from Psychology Today

"Narcissistic Personality Disorder involves arrogant behavior, a lack of empathy for other people, and a need for admiration-all of which must be consistently evident at work and in relationships. People who are narcissistic are frequently described as cocky, self-centered, manipulative, and demanding. Narcissists may concentrate on unlikely personal outcomes (e.g., fame) and may be convinced that they deserve special treatment. Related Personality Disorders: Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic. Narcissism is a less extreme version of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Narcissism involves cockiness, manipulativeness, selfishness, power motives, and vanity-a love of mirrors."

But that could be pointed at many of us, so I'm not going there.

What I want to know is what on earth that hot mess of wires is doing behind the tank. I have seen spaghetti that looks more orderly than that. :) One might speculate that the wiring is not finished or that it was done by someone with low level of electrical competence. It just looks "wrong" Wire gauges look wrong, length or wires/harness is ridiculous - unless it's still a WIP

They're talking about the electrical tape you have X'd on you headlight lens to further impede the already underwhelming lighting capabilities of the stock headlight.

The ratty wiring goes with the rest of the bike.

You really are in it for the fashion parade and the circle jerk, aren't you?

I can't lie. I started out interested in the fashion of it. but I also like speed. ppl keep saying there is something wrong with me being in it "for the looks," which his not totally true. I don't mind at all. Sticks and stones.

Thanks for clarifying. I like the bike how it is. No one else but me has to ride it, and Im sure some ppl will say "thank goodness." Im not too concerned.
