What's going on guys? I'm Frank and currently do not own a motorcycle. I'm 21, go to Syracuse and am home for the summer looking for something to do other than work ;D

My main hobby is wrenching on NorthEast style dirt modifieds and racing my oval track go-kart. But we haven't been doing as much racing as I would have liked this season and I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive project that can take up some of my free time. I've owned two foxbody Mustangs and currently drive an '89 C3500 single cab dually with a big block...some would argue that it's overkill, but I searched for years to find this exact truck.

My dad has always been a motorcycle enthusiast although he hasn't owned a bike in years, and I've always wanted to get into the hobby. I have a couple of friends who ride, but they're more into modern sports bikes that have little to no character. My plan is to have a 1970s Honda by the end of summer. I would prefer something smaller than a CB750 as I've never rode a street bike before and my goal is to fit the true "cafe racer" mentality of function over form, and keeping only what's necessary.

I pretty much comb Craigslist every day to see if something pops up that strikes my fancy. I've been hasty with powersport purchases in the past, and I am really going to take my time and be patient until I find something that I really like, and really want to work on. I've never wrenched on motorcycles (other than my brothers Pocketbike lol), but I'm pretty good with a wrench on race cars. My only downfall is being a complete know-nothing when it comes to electronics and wiring.

In sum, I'm a motorhead through and through. I love anything old and made in America, and am an absolute sucker for vintage car carriers. Until I get a bike I'll most likely be thumbing through the build pages, asking questions and complimenting the craftsmanship that I view. If anyone has an Instagram, you can follow me at "banana_cognac"; that's where I usually post the outlandish things that I do first.

Here are some pictures of previous cars/toys:

I bought this when I was 16 and subsequently crashed it. Too much car, too much balls, not enough skill

I bought this when I was 18 and had the itch again. Nice clean car, 5.0 swap from a four banger, but had some gremlins hidden in the electrical work that drove me wild. I ended up selling it to a local kid who blew the rear in less than a week

I sold the Almond 5.0 to help fund the dually purchase

Here's the racing kart operation. We run at Poughkeepsie Speedway on asphalt and Oakland Valley Speedway on dirt

I don't have a picture of last seasons big block, but here's a picture of two cars that I help with occasionally. If you've never seen them in action, I highly recommend it. Nearly 900 HP out of 468 ci Chevys, racing on clay. I love the smell of VP in the morning!

I'm sure I won't be too, too active on here since all I have to contribute are questions and praise, but this site has really impressed me thus far and I look forward to becoming an active member. I'm kind of a forum junkie and keep the same screen name all over so if you're into Mustangs or dirt track racing in the northeast you may have run across me.

Thanks for letting me post. Take it easy!
