New from Brewtown, WI

I'm new too...I got a 1978 cb550 for Christmas (merry xmas to myself) for 425...If fired up in december (dude had a heated garage), so hopefully it won't take much to get her running come april (or may). I'm piling on here because I am from milwaukee, but moved north several years ago. Come this summer, I'd love to join you guys if I can get the bike up to snuff...I'm up in Menominee, MI now, so I have to be confident that the bike will make the 450 mile round trip.

I also love Lakefront. My wife and I met over a pitcher of Riverwest Stein at a dance club across from Fuel, called Mars Hotel...which is no longer there. It has a special place in my heart...I love that crap.

I inherited a 78 KZ650 from my uncle who unfortunately passed last year. I'm going to be fixing her up and cafe'ing her out. Used to ride a 02 CBR600F4i, but sold it a few weeks ago to fix this up. Sport bikes are fun, but I like being different - plus too many tools ride sport bikes.
Interested to know of some hangouts around here that don't suck.

i think were half assedly planning a cruise through the southside bayview area? there was talks about the newport. weathers warming up fellas....
 
I'm just north of you guys in Plymouth. Drop me a line if you head up this way. I know the Kettle Moraine up here pretty well. Maybe go for a ride during the vintage weekend?

Vintage Weekend? When's that?

We need to set a day for the Newport. Anybody have an open day soon? My XS850 is apart right now for new tires and forks seals/springs. It should be back together by Tuesday if all goes well....... If not, I still have my Guzzi.

Also, here's an email from a friend of mine. I'll be riding down with him and a few other friends in case anybody is interested. It is a part of Milvinmoto.

It's official; The RUMBLE at THE BRAT is postponed due too SH!TY whether conditions and will be held Sunday April 26th.
That's the weekend after Woodstock swap meet.

There will also be a group ride through the countryside to my place (Godffery’s Garage) where we will have a nice toasty fire.

well... normally the 'queen is ready to rumble.... i have the carb piston as we speak in the mail... i still have to take the clutch cover off though, and see if i ruined the return spring or if its something more diabolical :-\ but yes, we should make a date soon, so it forces me into the garage.

i am coming though on our way to the HD museum and brewery over memorial day weekend (that Saturday) with about 45 HD's and choppers... you guys are more than welcome to join up and ride with us! we are going to camp out down that way that night...
 
Already got my tickets for vintage weekend! We normally do the suberbike weekend, but decided to try something different this year... should be a blast!

hey joe im huge into camping if you want to know where all the good places are... my personal fav has to be kettle moraine southern unit inside eagle, wi. you can camp under the tall pines... ahhhh it smells so good
 
i sent her the info... soon as she gets back from the base (her husband is active military) i am sure she will check her email and update... ill let you guys know
 
Let it be known that after wondering through the halls of DTT for awhile this tread made me join. I am down here in Franklin, WI and glad to hear some others are enjoying busting their knuckles for the cafe cause. look forward to crossing paths in the future.

i'D LOVE TO JOIN YOU GUYS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY i'M MORE OF A WEEKEND WARRIOR... wORK ALL DAY, THEN GO HOME TO SEE THE WIFE AND KIDS... WEEK NIGHTS JUST DON'T WORK WELL FOR ME, ESPECIALLY SINCE ITS A GOOD 30-40 MINUTES AWAY..
 
Who's going to Elkhart this weekend?

I should be up there at least all day Saturday.

Somethings have changed in the past months...sold the CB and got a SCREAMING deal on an 02' Buell X1 (if you don't mind riding with a Buell hit me up)
 
Unfortunately you're a week early for me... I'll be up there all weekend the next weekend for the vintage races... We usually do the superbike doubleheader, but decided to try something new thiss year( plus the tickets are a lot cheaper ;))
