I am new to the forum and looking to start a cafe racer project. I really like the cafe racers and like the CB based bikes. I have had a wide variety of sport bikes ranging from 748 Ducati to R1's to Buell S1. This will be my first classic bike as the oldest bike I have owned was a '93 900RR. I have had plenty of classic cars and I daily drive a '72 C10 w/250 6 cyl & 3 on the tree so working on older stuff isn't an issue. The bike I will most likely end up with is a '72 CB750 K2. It is a good looking running and driving bike with some carb issues. I look forward to the project and any info/advice you guys can give. Here is the latest bike I had, it was a '98 Buell S1W Lighting w/1250cc cyl, 42mm carb, Force reverse megaphone 1 piece header and a '96 style small tank.
