Hey guys,

I have been into cafe racers for a longtime, and recently I have to realize I really would love to build and ride one. However with 3 children $$ is an issue, I don't know if anyone knows of any projects or where I can start looking? Thanks again and it was rough but I am from Ohio.

Hey Jonny, you picked a great forum! I also live in Cincinnati. What area you from? I live on the eastside. Are you interested in a Suzuki GT380 two stroke? I have one sitting around that I was gonna cafe, but I've already got two projects in the works. If you want it we may be able to work something out. If not, I know of a few great sources in the area for cafe platforms. Just let me know!
 
I am over near Norwood, where about are you? I would be interested in anything that would be a good cafe starter and I think a GT380 has potential, wouldn't you say? What are you thinking as for working out? What other sources do you have? Thanks again for the response.
 
I live in Anderson Twp. If you want, you can come by sometime and look at what I have. Honestly, I need to decide whether or not I want to sell it, but I have too many projects going anyways so I really should. But theres also this guy in Goshen that has a HUGE collection of old bikes, most perfect for cafes, that he's trying to get rid of. Send me a PM and I'll get you his number. You may be able to find him by searching craigslist for "liquidating vintage collection" he has a TON (pun completely intended) of bikes at very reasonable prices.
 
JonnyOutlaw - Welcome. I'm over in Hyde Park and am working on a Honda CL450 right now. You should also check out the local Cincinnati Cafe Racers on Facebook. We do several rides and meetups. And there are some good guys who can help you out. Cheers
