New from Jamestown, NY

Buy the ticket, take the ride.
Hey, everybody.

I'm from Jamestown, NY and new to the forum. Over the last several months, I have become very interested in motorcycles. Especially cafe racers. I don't have one of my own, but I have considered buying one and frequently check sites like eBay and Craigslist for my area.

Lately, though, I've been entertaining the thought of taking it a little further. Getting my hands a little dirtier. And now what I really want to find is a bike (or some of a bike) that I can rebuild/restore.

I'm pretty inexperienced. My knowledge doesn't extend much past what one can learn through reading, pictures, and video. This would be a grand entrance into the world of Cafe Racers. Is there anyone who could give me any hints/tips/tricks of the trade to help me get started? Also, if you're familiar with my area, are there any resources that you have or know of that'd be helpful to me?

Thanks.

Welcome Brother! If you are just starting out and will be building your first bike try to find something that is already running decent and then make it your own, vintage Hondas are very reliable and are also very easy to work on and the best part is there are a lot of parts available for economical prices! Anytime I can help feel free to email or call me!
