New from Norman, Ok

I'm from Norman, Ok. I just bought a XS750 triple. I have currently been building a cafe out of it.... Here are some pics!

Those were the pics when I first brought it home..... after some work this is what it looks like!

I bought another tank and sanded it down to bare metal. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clear coat it... or keep it from rusting. I haven't even searched yet..... Thats were I'm heading now!

Welcome! I don't have an answer for that either, but it might be in the "rattle can bling" thread in the 1 800 cafe help section.

I want to say that clear coat isn't made to stick to bare metal and some people use a ton of wax to stop it from rusting - neither way I have personally tried.

Welcome, Marshall. The bike is looking great!! You've done a lot and I know you have more plans still. You should start a build thread to show more detail.
Hope you find a definite answer about the tank on here. I'm sure you will. I know that LocoLeon has had some experience in that area.
