hello all
i just picked up a 79 cb750 off craigslist that is in need of much work. i have been looking for a cafe project for a while now. the last few years of going to The One Show here in portland has had me thinking about a project like this for a while now.
well i finally pulled the trigger and found one. its a 79 cb750. planning on doing a full tear down and rebuild. i'll start a thread in the projects section once i get some pictures going.
my last project was a 01 ducati 748 that i did a full engine build to. started with a simple (for a duc) valve adjustment and ended up tearing down the motor. i bored it out to 853, had the heads done, light weight rods, ben fox did the crank to match the rods/pistons. The R cams were degreed for optimal performance. all of the engine work except for the machining was done myself. i learned a ton!
now its time for a new project.
