New from South-Central Michigan

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, from Coldwater, MI. A few years back I bought this little SR250 that a buddy of mine was sending to the scrapyard. She was originally going to be a little rat bobber, hence the paint job, but about a year ago I decided that she was screaming for a cafe job.

As she sits, she has drag bars, which I've already taken back off and am going to run clip-ons. The seat is from Roc City Cafe. I measured the bike, checked dimensions, saw the seat was 2" too wide and ordered anyway... and then was forced into hacking 2" out of the center and re-fiberglassing... you win this time, Math! I don't have any before pictures, unfortunately, I got so damn excited to tear into her and so disgusted with the starting piece that I jumped the gun there. I've still got some finishing to do, and then I'm planning another tear-down this winter where she'll be repainted and have the last of her unnecessary tabs and brackets ground off.

Also I'll throw up a picture of my CB750C daily beater. There's a KZ650 in the garage with a seized engine, next to my '65 Fairlane 500 and 1980 Cream Dream Cutlass Supreme that're waiting on some distant day for their turns too.

Welcome man ! Looks like a fun project. Glad to see more Michigan Members around here. You should get a build thread going on here
