Hey ya'll,

Coming in from Milwaukee, the great Brew City. I'm relatively new to motorcycles in general, but always looking to learn something. Just got my license and looking forward to a lot of riding this summer. Picked up an old '81 Suzuki GS550 from a guy who builds cafe racers. Looking to make some tweaks to make it more my own, but eventually want to build one of my own. Pictures coming soon. Looking to learn a thing or two

a few pictures of the bike as it sits now

Welcome on to the ton and nice start so far ! First things first get yourself a manual it will be the biggest help then go from there ! It is always easier to have a good bike running when building a bike so when thing start to drag you can go out and clear your mind . Good luck and enjoy !

I appreciate it. My Clymer's manual came in earlier this week, so its going to go through the usual maintenance to make sure its on the top of its game. I have an oil leak somewhere. I'm planning on digging into it this weekend, but with the lack of a physical garage it makes it a little interesting. Any suggestions/advice is always welcome to a new comer.
