new guy and my CBR

Hey friends,

After a mostly wasted life I finally started riding this summer ;D love cafe style but don't have a project yet - that's meant to be remedied soon enough though. In the mean time here's my CBR600F3:

Completely stock and will likely stay that way. I got a good deal on it as the previous owner had had it in his shed for three years. Took a little bit of work to get it running properly again but not bad at all.

Very nice! A buddy of mine has one of those. Pretty fast bikes.. bulletproof too! His has 44k miles and still going strong.

^ all in good time ;D

Won't be easy - here is a diagram of the typical Manitoba road:

er, yeah, that's about it. There's a small road course north of Winnipeg though that hosts track days, which I would like to do at some point :)

I didn't know that! No twisty roads your way? How sad. Here in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky, we have quite a few. I guess that's why slammed and stretched urban style bikes have never been popular. Anyway, the fun of a modern sport bike is riding one in the environment they were born and bred for. They are designed so well (decades and gazillions of dollars in R&D and factory racing efforts) that once you get them dialed in, they really do become an extension of you the rider. You really can't go wrong with a CBR (or any of the Big Four for that matter). Oh, and if you haven't already, buy the best gear you can afford and wear it! Rock on, Brutha!
