This is my first bike and I'm unreasonably excited to start learning. I've wanted one for years, and the more and more I searched the more I realized that I had to have a cafe racer.

I'm not all that mechanically inclined just yet, so I'm a bit nervous, but optimistic.I'll be asking a ton of questions, taking even more pictures and I'll be sure to keep you all updated on the status on the bike.

Wish me luck!

Welcome to the site man!

Good luck with the scoot- that's a great bike to start with!

Thanks guys.

Anyone have any good suggestions on where to start for parts/DIY info? I'm trying to absorb as much information as I can.

DIY info? Definitely start with finding the service manuals - factory, Clymers, etc. The more the merrier.

For parts check out Dime City Cycles (link on top of the page), www.roccitycafe.com, Fast from the Past, Glass from the Past, and www.denniskirk.com. Just to name a few.

Welcome Brother! Congratulations on your first motorcycle and you made an excellent choice on one as well! There is no reason to be nervous about it though, everyone here on dotheton will be more than happy to help you with it!
