Hey all,

I have ridden, sporadically, since the 70's. My first bike was a chopped Norton in a Pan-head frame. Started riding seriously in 2006 when I got an 03 Honda VT1100. I didn't like being without a bike if I had to work on the Shadow so I got an 06 CB900. I haven't really done much to modify these bikes.
I retired last July and have been looking at cars, trucks and motorcycles to buy, have some fun with for a while and then sell.

A couple weeks ago I picked up a stock, $900, running (sorta), 1975 CL360 that had been languishing on Craigslist for a while. The tank sealer is curing right now. Putting fork seals on today. Carbs are sitting in the UPS warehouse in OKC and should be here tomorrow. Also have a 38 tooth sprocket coming. The one on it makes it feel like it is in second gear when you take off. I plan on making a bunch of mods to this one.

I look forward to roaming around this site looking for tips, ideas etc.

Lets see if these pics show...
Thought I'd ride it this season as is and finish it this winter. I got to ride it a few months but my kick start quit so guess I'll be tearing it apart sooner.

It was all original when I got it but not running well. The tank was full of rust, forks leaked, it needed some tuning and the seat pan was rusted out. I patched the rust, shortened the seat and had it upholstered in leather. Oh, and it was purple. I am going to pull the motor and remove any unused tabs, paint the tank and stuff.

Looks like a great starting point, good luck out there. I just 'finished' up a 71 CB 350 (with CL pipes), not to much to them, only real issue is the crossover tube on the tank, I want to take the designer out and punch him in the face for coming up with that idea.

Looks like you've got a nice project and a heck of a nice place to work in.

Welcome to the fold, I'm just down the pike, south of Chickasha and I've had my 360 for about three years now. They are fun little bikes.

Pics of Fairlane/Galaxie? Please!

Glad I'm not the only one to drag bed sheets and quilts out to the garage. To Cover my motorcycles of course.

I've had the Fairlane since 1996. The blankets on the bikes and car are great for dust and padding against flying objects.

Hey frogman, I was down your way a few months ago to look at a Karmann Ghia. I built my barn as I had the cash. Put up the structure one year, concrete the next, then electric...

AH yes a Karmann, one day I will own one, always thought they were one of the coolest looking coupe type cars out. I really cut my teeth with air cooled engines with VW goodness back 15-18 years ago. Built 2-3 dune buggies, at least one van, and one wagon. Those engines are still some of my favorites to work on and play with.

I'm hoping to be working on a building this summer as cash allows. I need some over head cover for some projects that I have stored else where and I'm tired of not being able to work on them as I wish.

Tornado season is officially here. Time to bring all the quilts out to the garage to cover the projects. Can you see what I'm hiding on my garage under blankets and motorcycle jackets?
