I just typed all of this, but it took me so long that the system logged me out. Haha, lets try this again!

Hello all! My name is Adam and I am currently in Wisconsin. The list of my current motorcycles is as follows:

2004 Honda VFR 800 Interceptor - Daily rider. Love her to death. Has a Honda V4 (yes, V4) Vtec engine, basically from their mid-late 90's V4 cars.

Modifications so far: Delkevic cat-back dual exhaust, Corbin carbon fiber look seat w/red accent piping, Puig dark smoke race windscreen, new D&D chain and sprocket kit, Honda OEM passenger handle delete kit and currently waiting on my backordered Honda OEM seat cowl, which I've been waiting on for a month and a half now.

1982 Yamaha XS 400 - Bobber project. Purchased as a running project for $400. PO had started a bobber/tracker build on it already, but it was pretty shotty. Makeshift pipe handlebars that were off-center, incorrectly sized pod filters that actually fell off while riding it home, no mirrors and no rear blinkers. However, she has a good condition, loud aftermarket exhaust already and nicely done faux hardtail struts.

Modifications so far: TC Bros black drag bars, new black two piece controls, rectangle mirrors, new grips, replaced vacuum style petcock with 70's era XS ON/OFF/RES petcock and capped vacuum lines, new fuel lines.

Modifications pending: Weld on seat hinge and spring bungs, slimline solo seat, barrel seat springs, new taillight (unknown style at this time), mount aftermarket rear signals, replace front signals with matching rear aftermarket.

Current condition: She ran for about two days and then choked herself out while running, would only stay running with throttle, then wouldn't start at all anymore. Removed and cleaned carbs. Nothing. Vacuum petcocks on these bikes were known to have the gaskets go bad and cause problems, hence the petcock swap. Still nothing. Re-removed and re-cleaned the carbs. Still nothing. Going into new spark plugs and swapping the oil next as the plugs could have fouled and there's another gasket apparently that's known to go bad on these bikes and leak gas into the oil system and cause problems.

1981 Honda GL1100 Goldwing Interstate - Brat project. Purchased as a running bike for $600. Only 23,XXXmi, which is nothing for a Goldwing. Rode her almost 70mi home after purchase, no issues. Mechanically a gem, but visually shit. PO had gotten the bike from his grandfather, and one of them had decided to take it apart and attempt a "rattle can" two-tone paint job. Didn't strip off original paint prior to re-painting, paint job was uneven, lines were completely crooked, overspray on light covers and trim everywhere, no clear coat, trunk cover was cracked in the process, side bag latch was lost in the process, fairing was cracked in the process and then none of the bags or the fairing were re-installed properly, so they were all loose and a mess.

Modifications so far: Stripped off and got rid of fairing, bags and seat. Removed tank shroud, side covers and fenders, currently sanding down to bare metal/plastic in prep to re-paint a deep burgundy.

Modifications planned: New headlight, new front and rear blinkers, chop rear fender to be close to flush with new seat, custom seat builder already set up to build a low-profile brat/tracker style seat off of the original seat pan mounts for ease of install, new taillight (unknown type as of now), new handlebars (unknown type as of now) and new grips.

Current condition: Stripped down but still starts on first push of the button and runs strong with no issues.

1981 Kawasaki KZ305 CSR - Purchased earlier this month for $400 as a café project. Bike is in beautiful condition with no issues at all. Rode her 26mi home and have taken her out on a few buzzes around since purchase for fun as well.

Modifications so far: Nothing installed. Currently have Roc City Bonneville seat pan, DCC chrome clip-ons and new retro grips to be installed.

Modifications planned: Retro-fit stock taillight into Bonneville pan, trim stock rear signal stems, build/install seat pad, bar end mirrors, paint pan to match stock purple color or re-paint entire bike.

Current condition: Planning to mock up seat pan tonight and look at possibility of removing stock seat pan mounting tabs and installing them onto the Bonneville to make life easy. If it all works out as hoped, will get the mounting tabs swapped off the stock seat to the Bonneville tonight or tomorrow night, then begin tail light measurement and mock up this weekend. Once that is done, I'll be starting on building the seat pad for the pan, already have foam, just need material for the pad bottom and vinyl for a cover. Once all seat mock up is complete and ready for install, I'll swap the bars as I decide on the paint issue.

1974 Yamaha RD60 - 55cc two-stroke, single seater classic.

Modifications so far: None.

Modifications planned: None.

Current condition: Bought her with a choking herself out issue. Tore off the entire air and fuel delivery system, cleaned the whole thing, adjusted the point a little and haven't had an issue since. Electrical system does not work, which isn't major for back road riding as she is kick start only, but there are no lights and signals. Just picked up a new battery, recently tracked down the classic glass tube fuse I need and will install those soon. If those don't fix the problem I'll move to the rectifier and replace that. If that doesn't fix it, I'll have to move to tracing every single wire to ensure grounding and no shorts, which will be a pain, prior to purchasing a whole new wiring harness, as they run you around $200+.

1972 Yamaha DS7 - Restoration project. 250cc two-stroke, one year only production bike. Made only in 72 as the precursor to the RD series motorcycle. Have owned her since I was 16. Purchased as a "barn find" that had been sitting in a shed for something like 14 years. Replaced and re-gapped spark plugs, replaced air filter, fresh oil, cleaned carbs, replaced points and she ran just fine for awhile until she fouled out the carbs again because I was too dumb back then to consider that she had sat for 14 years without fuel stabilizer, so the tank is completely rusted out. Spent a year looking for a replacement tank that wasn't rusted inside or completely sun faded. Nothing. Let her sit for about 2 years. Spent another year looking for a replacement tank. Nothing. Let her sit for another year. Suddenly created grand plans to turn her into a café racer. Stripped her down to frame, motor and trans. Let her sit for another 2 years considering if I should do it. Finally woke up and realized it would be a horrible idea to take an unadulterated one year only production bike that has essentially no visual or mechanical issues and café it. Spent another year looking for a new tank. Still nothing...always nothing. Finally bought a tank re-lining kit.

Modifications so far: None.

Modifications planned: None.

Current condition: Plan to start the tank re-lining process this weekend, which should be done around Tuesday. Then start the slow process of reassembly back to original condition, cleaning and refurbishing as I go. The only thing I know she'll need, besides the obvious like a battery and the carbs cleaned again, is she has 2 broken spokes on the rear rim that I need to replace. Otherwise, she's beautiful.

That's all for me. I'll be putting up a thread on the 305 CSR build in the projects section eventually here, possibly this weekend. Thanks!
